Thanksgiving is just a few days away and I am feeling quite blessed. So many things I’m thankful for. I think so many times we forget to BE THANKFUL and FEEL THE BLESSINGS IN OUR LIFE. Stop a moment and do that – Please. I’ve been posting something on facebook that I’m thankful for everyday this month and I’m going to make a VERY STRONG EFFORT to continue to do so until NY EVEN and on 12/31/14 – before the ball drops to bring in a new year – read some of the things I wrote down.

And then I’m going to try to continue to remember to write them down for next year as well.

Today, I want you all to know how blessed and thankful for you.

You don’t have to take the time to read this, or anything that I’ve written. Sometime, when you’ve let me know that you did, it overwhelms me. I try to make a point to acknowledge in some way what your words and thoughts mean to me. If I’ve missed you, please reach out to me again, sometimes things get busy and unfortunately get overlooked. I appreciate the stories and MUSIC that you share with me on how a story, or a certain part of a story that I’ve written has touched you. I appreciate when you’ve told me what you wished I’d have done differently – I won’t change it after it’s published, but I WILL learn. I appreciate that YOU GET ME and understand that my love scenes will never be erotic, or not done in tasteful way – it’s not something I will ever be comfortable with, because my family are part of my audience.  I’ve been faulted for not writing more graphic sex scenes, for taking you to the edge and not giving more. If you need that to enjoy the story, then I am not the author you want to read.

I want you to know that if you hadn’t taken the time to take a chance on me, I don’t know if I would have written the next word, but because of YOU – I keep taking chance on myself. You tell me that you like them and I feel the courage to write more. I don’t promote myself a lot – because I really don’t know how – that is something I need more guidance with. The greatest promotion of my work has been YOU. You read and tell your friends, or you write reviews, which is the greatest promotion of my work that I can imagine. If you haven’t reviewed something you’ve read – not just my work – anyone’s – PLEASE take five minutes to let other readers know what you thought. If you didn’t like it – give constructive criticism – you could crush someone’s dream that just needed someone to tell them, ‘next time do this, or check that’. We should lift each other up in a friendly way and praise their efforts by teaching them what they need to do different.

Everyday is a learning experience for me, so I am positive in my thoughts telling you that we all learn – everyone one of us who puts our heart out for you to read learns something everyday. We learn that covers have to be eye-catching. We learn to not overuse words because YOU told us. We learn that if you are touched by a certain story line, maybe someone who isn’t comfortable saying so probably was too. Personally, I have learned so many deep, personal things that you have experienced that it fills my heart. You shared a piece of your heart with me, because I shared a piece of mine with you.

And these stories I tell are my heart. My mom is in just about every story I have shared with you in some way, because it keeps her memory close to me. I have shared the love story that Gene and I have lived as well. (RRNF – Chapter 5 is the greatest trip that I ever had with this incredible man – now you know part of that). <3

I don’t “KNOW” people in the business, so I’ve found a support system to guide me and I appreciate them TO INFINITY AND BEYOND! They share tips, ideas, “should dos” and “think abouts” that have helped e navigate my way through the maze…

I just want to write.  If you like it – let me know.

I want to thank EVERY READER, EVERY BLOGGER, AND EVERY FRIEND who has helped me get where I am. FOR YOU, I am THANKFUL.

Happy Thanksgiving.

With love, B
